Top 3 Romantic Wedding Proposals (That make guys like me look bad)

I consider myself to be a pretty romantic guy. I love love. I open doors, pull out chairs, and I do my best to order flowers way ahead of time on Valentine’s day so I’m not left showing up to a romantic dinner with a bunch of sad roses I stole from my neighbor’s garden . I’m a firm believer in the idea that a little romance goes a long way. But clearly these guys have never heard of that. I know that a marriage proposal is one of the biggest steps a couple can take, so it should definitely be memorable, but a customized movie trailer and lip dubs are a little above my skill set as a modern day Prince Charming. If you’re about to pop the question and are looking for some tips from the pros, watch and learn from these guys. Damn.

3.  This Fairytale Proposal

This gentleman takes the idea of a fairytale proposal to the next level by hiring a pirate ship and wearing a Peter  Pan costume. A lot of the time, themed proposals can end up seeming a little bit too cheesy, but I think he pulls this whole thing off with just the right amount of “Aww, that’s so neat!”   I love that he centered his idea around a special childhood memory and how he got everyone to come together to celebrate the event. I’m sure his lady love didn’t even care that she was wearing a pink Wendy nightgown for one of the most important moments of her life. Look at her smile!

2. This Movie Magic Proposal

This custom movie trailer has just the right amount of sentimentality and silliness, which makes it a great way to pop the question. However, my favorite thing about this proposal is that it happened just before his girlfriend was about to go and see Fast 5, which is basically the least romantic film ever made. Who could blame a man for wanting to marry a girl who would see that movie in theaters, right?

1. The Proposal To End All Proposals

This proposal has everything. The song and dance lip-dub, the handwritten notes, the romantic beach setting, the video messages from her friends and family … it’s basically the supernova of proposals. The sheer amount of detail that went into planning this event  must  have required some kind of super power. If there was a romance Olympics, this guy would have taken the gold in every event. And then probably melted all the gold to create some deeply personal heart-shaped  jewelry for his girlfriend.  Honestly, I had to get up and jog around the room after watching the video because it was so intense. What’s that you say? I’m not crying. YOU’RE CRYING.

Gentlemen, I hope these videos have inspired you to make your proposal something truly memorable, or at the very least helped you get in touch with  your sensitive side. Remember though, it doesn’t have to be a grand gesture to be special. As long as it comes from your heart, your proposal will be perfect. Best of luck out there!
